Loose Leaf Tea – Why Bother?

You’ve probably seen it in your local supermarket or heard about it from a friend who claims to be a ‘tea fanatic’. Loose leaf tea is growing more popular today, as is ground coffee, but why bother when teabags do the job?

Well, a tea bag is more convenient, but if you really love the fresh flavours of tea, then loose leaf is probably your best bet. If for example, you’re making up a teapot for 4-5 people, using loose tea can be the best option, you will need a tea infuser though to make sure no leaves make their way into your friend’s mug. These come in different sizes, but if you’re regularly making a cup for one, then you’ll need one the size of a tea bag.

By brewing tea in its loose leaf form, the hot water can bring out the freshest, fullest flavours, and if you constantly find that your tea bags are not strong enough, this is the option for you!
