The tuna pasta bake is without a doubt the unsung hero of the kitchen when stock begins to get low. With just a few basic ingredients you can whip up a happy and healthy tuna pasta bake but we’re going to tell you how to take it that step further.
First things first, get the right ingredients. For a truly authentic flavour, we recommend you include large pasta shells, 1 brown onion, olive oil, 2 garlic cloves, chopped tomatoes, olives, drained tuna, mozzarella and parmesan. Not many people boil their pasta first but we recommend you do, and take it out when it’s tender to drain. Once the pasta has drained and cooled, leave it to one side and start frying the onion and olives. When the onions start to brown throw in the chopped tomatoes and cook until he sauce has thickened. Then compile all of the ingredients together including the mozzarella and tuna, and place in the oven to bake. Then before serving add a little sprinkle of parmesan to seal the deal.
